29 Shortcuts for Youtube Player

Jump to: Disable In-Video Advertising, Gain Control of Youtube Video, Navigate Video, Video Control, Playlists, Jump within Video

Most times these shortcut seem to work; but it is often necessary to click on the video to enable the focus on the video. By default when starting a video, the focus is on the Player Window, but you may continuously need to re-gain control.

1. Disable In-Video Advertising

K then End, then K. Or scroll to end of Video and click repeat

As of 2020 you can still disable advertising in the middle of videos by scrolling to the end of the video and clicking on repeat.

You identify the presence of in-video advertising by yellow markers on timeline at the bottom of the video. Does not work for ads at the beginning and end of the video.

If Autoplay is enabled or video is part of the playlist, press Escape to cancel autoplay before repeating. If you are on a Smartphone, you can't disable autoplay. Instead - start the video briefly, stop it, go to your viewing history, play the video from there, scroll to the end, and repeat.

not sure how new this is, but there are some keys that mess with your subtitle settings... if you accidentally type in the wrong window, sometimes your subs go back to original settings.

Thank You! This website is the best. I accidentally skipped one minute into a video and then couldn't do it again. Now I know how.
