Please post general feedback here. Please drop a comment if you see any bugs or issues and I'll attempt to fix asap. Also, any additional ideas how the site can be expanded or made better, please let me know!
hi! thanks for such a useful website, I'm happy to see it's still being worked on and would love to contribute myself. I am facing an issue though, on macOS Big Sur I cannot select a platform when using Add Page. I've tried in Firefox and Safari, incognito/private windows as well and do not get any options to the right of "Platform:", it's just blank. If I leave the default platform selection (Windows) then I get an error upon clicking "Next", "Invalid platform for this selection.". I have screenshots and can provide them if needed. I'd prefer not installing Chrome, and would be awesome to have this working in my main browser, Firefox. Thank-you, please let me know how what I can do to start contributing.
Hi! Thank you for the kind words and apologies for the issue with the platforms.
Problem is fixed now; not sure how it stopped working in the first place. Please let me know either via email to email@example.com or feedback if you have any questions in the process!
your keyboard shortcuts from OneNote are available as a PDF download?
Excellent Site! Great Organization. The Export Data button for Excel Shortcuts works great but the one for Excel Functions isn't working (tried 3 popular browsers all 3 file formats). Is it possible you can fix the link or email me the excel file of the function list for "List of all Excel Functions with Syntax and Arguments" (possibly with every filter Item Selected). I'd really appreciate it. Thanks a lot in advance.
Such a great site, thanks!
I was surprised to see that the [⌘] (Command) sign is supported but that the [⌥] (Option) sign is not supported? The Option sign is printed as "?" in pdfs. Also, surprised that the Command sign is printed as "Command" and not as the sign?
Thanks, JR! I made a few fixes. The ⌥ sign now shows correctly on the Excel for Mac Page. Unfortunately the current PDF creator I am using has some issues with UTF-8 characters which I will fix in the near future. In the meantime, I replaced the ? signs with the text 'option'. Not perfect, but at least usable for now. Thanks again for taking time providing feedback!
I am very glad I found this site (it is very easy to read!) I do have a problem, I tried to download the pdf for shortcuts for Inkscape (win) and the file was empty (it just had the header for this website, but no shortcuts.)
Hi - found the issue with the PDF; it was a site-wide problem and is fixed now. Please try again. Sorry about that!
You can use your touch pad to zoom and zoom out easily why are you trying to find a shortcut for that? If you are in pc then do it with the help of your mouse. Just click control and use the wheel to zoom in and zoom out.
I did not know it until I tried it myself. It worked for me, I do not know why it is not working on your system. Try to check whether you have all the drivers or not. Sometimes you miss the hot key driver which is very essential for performing shortcuts. Try it out.
I want to know it too. Like in google drive when I use spreed sheet I press alt H then W to wrap a certain box and I do not have to go through all the trouble to wrap a box. I want this to apply on others too.
So do you want to just minimize a single window in windows xp?.
Thank you for this website. The format for the PDFs is very good looking and useful.
Every time I log in and try to add to my shortcuts I get a message that says:"
Could not add to favorites"
Am is doing it wrong or is it not working?
This list is awesome.
Would love to see it turned into a little applet that could run over a background, or simply turned into a background itself. Can someone do that or point me towards someone that already has?
Would be incredibly useful as a desktop background.
Thank you for this website. The format for the PDFs is excellent and very useful.
Its useful site...created by you. Tnq.
The security gurus keep harping on making passwords as strong as possible, generally suggesting the inclusion of numbers, capitol letters, and SYMBOLS. I am always a bit dismayed when I see no allowance for symbols or a limited sysmbol list, as I automatically include some symbols and I have my favorites.
Oops, missed the edit link. I've edited it now.
Realy this site very excellent working for users, also I proud on this site developer
Very very thank you for developed the shortcut world.com site
With so many doing shortcuts yours I enjoy. It's clean and uncluttered. I am always updating my own Excel & OneNote shortcut resources and force myself to stop if I can't remember one in use.
I use a utility to share multiple computers screens over my LAN and just figured out how to add shortcuts to switch screen focus without the mouse. I'm thinking about contributing but time is an issue of course. I don't see it on your site so I'll try join up and contribute.
Now that I know about you I hope you stick around! Keep up the good work! LOL and I finally added Google Translate to read your site comments.
Hi Bill; thank you! Without feedback like this, i would have not continued to pick up the work in the past and your note is another slight push of motivation for me to keep expanding :-) Yes reach out any time and again your feedback is much appreciated.
i very fine this objectivity question
Also... tried downloading the .ods versions for Gnome and Linux: got "incorrect format" and couldn't open them. Current LO Calc version is 126.96.36.199. How about a .csv version? Can't go too wrong with that!
Hi, thanks for letting me know. let me look into this, i have some other pressing matters not fully working, but i will put this on my list.
Thanks for this site idea. Bit of a keyboard fanatic, just making the switch to Linux. More specifically I hate being forced to use the mouse for a non-mouse task!
Love this site! Thank you, Bernd for creating it. One thing bugs me, how can i add more shortcuts to my list of favorites?
For now, you have to create a new public page, then add it. thanks!
There is no about shortcut key for download .Please tell me the shortcut key for download.
VERY USEFUL INFORMATION... THANK YOU for your sharing of some helpful tools

THANKFUL TO YOU. FOR HELPING TO OUR WORK FOR GIVING YOUR DATA.
Non tekky writer who only learns things on a need-to-know basis (shoulder injury, my apple keyboard shortcuts now v important). - I registered simply to say thank you, thank you for such an informative site that seems generous in its scope. I'll pass the word on to my friends and look forward to learning more here. Thank you. Deirdre
You need to add WIN +M to minimize the current screen. A lot of the games I play do not have the minimize/maximize symbols in the corner.
Firstly congratulations on an excellent, highly useful site!
What would make it way WAY more useful, would be if, having logged in, the individual user could:
A) Visually 'mark up' the individual hotkeys that he/she was planning to learn next. (i.e. with a bright yellow background highlight colour)
B) One the individual user had eventually learned each hotkey, he/she could then *dim* the highlight colour (to e.g. a faded/less-bright yellow colour).
This would make your site, much MUCH more useful to users. As it would:
A) Help them quickly see which new hotkeys they were planning to use and therefore which ones to practise using, and
B) Help them quickly find all the hotkeys that they had previously learned and which they had deemed to be important.
ALSO as a bonus you could then build up some sort of "heat map" showing which hotkeys were important to previous visitors. (e.g. using a button of varying shades of say Red colour at the start of each row). This would help users find what are *probably* the most useful and save time. AND the developers of the software in question would also find it very useful to know what features were being used more by their users.
I also suggest some form of revenue for this site. Maybe users could pay donations, or have some sort of "freemium" deal whereby adverts get removed if they pay something (but it would need to be something extremely small for a site like this. Say $5 /year?). You could also reward users - like me - in some way for making additions to the site...

I must be missing something. To get to the beginning of a doc, it says "Control" + "Home". I have a Vaio and I'm using Word 2013 and it's not working - not "Control" "Home" or "Control" "End", etc.
This is a really cool idea for a website and the layout is clean and easy to use, kudos!
Amazing, Wonderfull site
Aapne ye website suru krke saikaron nahi, lakho nhi, karono logo ki sahayata ki hai. aapka bahut bahut dhanyabad.

Is it possible to add not just an application but OS as well? I would like to contribute shortcuts for the Chrome OS.
Yeah, this site is very helpful, but forum admin do not properly take care and never post new topics
Great website! It would be really great to have an easy way to integrate this site's search bar into google chrome!
I was thrilled to find your site. I write a lot of macros -- so I am always trying to find the correct key strokes to accomplish what I need. I've bookmarked your site and I'm sure I will be back. This is a priceless compilation...many thanks to all contributors!
This website is very helpful for me because in past day i don't know some shortcut but this website learned to me many shortcuts key now really i Thank full to this website
The whole point of shortcuts is to be more productive.
Software helps us humans accomplishing tasks. (Lets set aside for a moment if the task at hand makes sense or not, point is we have a point of getting it done)
Ineffectiveness is waste of human energy. If your target is to create a Worksheet with specific content and outcomes, and it takes you 10 minutes instead of 30 minutes you have a net-gain of 20 minutes. Multiply by tasks, by years you do tasks, by people doing tasks and we have a sizable productivity gain.
Too much shortcuts? Law of diminishing returns. At a certain point, the time you spend learning shortcuts may not give you any net-gain. But consider a shortcut learned will stick with you for a lifetime. I have been using Excel for nearly 20 years and will probably do so for another.
First of all, thank yopu for your website, I have a request for upou, is it possible to add a letter page format for PDF printouts? I downloaded the acrobat reader shortcuts in pdf format, it was in european size A4 format, Letter format would be appreciated.
thanks benarn,am a beginner, please send me the basics of microsoft
May,I know How to expand the column from keyboard keys
In excel all data how to change from uppercase to lowercase?
The B2 is the cell reference that you wish to convert to lowercase. As far as I know, there's no way to do this "in place", so you'll need to perform this action, then copy the resulting VALUES back to the original location.
P.S. What a shame that my nice layout with lots of line-breaks has been trashed! [sigh]
Its marvellous attempt.
Liked the line - millions will get benefitted.
Thanx and keep it up

Hi TeamI find the short cut usefull but these shortcut keys are more in general. Can you please share advanced short cut keys like copy paste special valuesRegardsMuraliR
I have very helpful for me this site.....Thank You.....
Great website, clean-looking and objective! I was reading the shortcuts for chrome and copying and pasting the ones I didn't know and would like to have it handy to practice, and it took me some time. It'd be good if each shortcut item could be added to a floating notepad by just clicking on it. Then it could be exported to sticky notes or just copied. This would work well for this website.
it is amazing to use shortcut keys middle of my colics..
It is very useful for me, thanks for the update
this site is very useful

Very nice layout!Do you know how to overwrite an existing shortcut? Or even how to find a vacant CTRL+_ key to use to record a new macro?
I found Tools->Customize-->CommandsIt has a button "Modify Selection" but it is grayed out so I can't use it to change.

how would you delete some bookmarks on a macbook 2,1 mac osx 10.4.11 I have too many bookmarks and want to delete some
Thank you so much for putting all these KSCs in a compact pdf format for our use. Trying to build this from what is available on MS website and many others that offer 'great KSCs in Win 7" and leave us...going to their website to look them up because they're completely unprintable...has been an utter waste of my time.YOU are Absolutely a most responsible member of the web community. My kudos to you!
Just more accolades! Thanks. BTW I searched MS "help" tool first. What a misnomer, not help, not a tool either! It makes one wonder. MS seems to be trying to wean its users from many of the former useful tools by obscuring the tools and the info about them - in general. This is great, simple clean and effective.
I am getting a shortcuts dictionary from this side. Thanks
Thanks so much!! Very helpful, my wrists and shoulders appreciate it! :)
just wanted to say thanks for providing these useful lists
thanks to you...plz add the linux Shell??
This site is wonderful. You can access quickly the reference you are seeking. It allows you to one click to convert to pdf, or print. You don't need to create an account to look up shortcuts, and no hoops to jump through messing with advertising. I highly recommend this site for anyone who is seeking shortcuts to any OS or application/software.
good work and very useful for my day to day job. thanks much. keep going...

It's a very good site for shortcut Keys.Thanks.
Hah! i found it! I have to: -Ctrl + u first to Edit the active cell and position the insertion point at the end of the line
Great site - great work! One thing though: In the end it is Win+space that will change language, not Alt+space - that is with Windows7
As would I!
Very good and important info is gathered here and its very useful to many and I will also keep posting some info which I have got with me to share to all.

It realy very usefull..............!!!Thanks a lot.....!!!!!!!!
great work done byn short cut world, thanks for sharing the knowledge
Thanks for taking time giving feedback and thanks for the flowers :-) Comments like yours keep me motivated.
I have downloaded tons of shortcuts from the internet. Yours is by far, the most efficient, easy to read shortcut lists of all time. I'm putting all other shortcuts in the trash and relying totally on your information. Thanks for taking the time to create. I'm sure it is a major undertaking. Much appreciated!
Don't throw them away! Make a master list, full of every possible shortcut--he may yet not have all of them!Oh, and as mobile platforms develop and newer projects like Raspberry Pi, custom ARM Architectures, custom ROMs, hell... even Video Game Console shortcuts :P --all these things will need to be included eventually :)That's not even talking about possible custom shortcuts development for individual people on their boxes. Which may or may not someday be packaged as something you might download, say on CNET! Excellent potential. I hope to all that is holy that you will get the resources you need to finish this project :D
I stumbled on to this site and am blown away by the awesome information you have posted. Thank you!
awesome ... to see all shortcut keys with in one website . thanks youbest wishes to all your team members .great...!!!
Being a keyboard person, love this page. I didn't find the shortcut keys to save a document, such as: Alt+f+s on the page for Office. Maybe I missed it, maybe not. Either way, I thought I'd share, in case it was not there.Love the page!
Hi...Your shortcut keys are very useful
It is very useful.gr8 worky fellowwww
Very nice helpful site. I was looking at the windows shortcut list which is very good on screen. However transfering to paper for reference while trying to remember the shortcuts dosen't look organised. It would be very useful if a printable version laid out for A4 with if possible each group per sheet. This would make finding the appropriate group list so much easier and more efficient to use. Thanks for your time and effort.
Post new short key.
Http API would be useful for developer.Suggestion: Search API, CRUD APIFor example, I will search site content direct from Kufper, Gnome Do or similar apps (http://alternativeto.net/software/gnome-do/)
Very interesting shortcut key , very useful
It is very useful. But I could find the desktop shortcuts thread. Would appreciate if you would help me.
window+d, do you want this?
its very useful to all
Thanks, great site but I'm a newbie to shortcuts and don;t know how to interpret the instructions whenever there are multiple keys. For example "⌃+w" to close the document. Exactly what keys do I press? Clearly not Shift+6+w (which is how I would expect to get a ^ and a w together). Can you add clear instructions at the top of the site for people who don't understand even the basics of short cuts? Thank you, Richard
Its great site to find keyboard shotcut keys....Awesome........
I like the site and hope to use it regularly but first time out I hit a bug. Hope you can clarify. I wanted to undo a strike-through and used ⌃+5. Since ^ relies on shift, it gives me ^ and nothing more. Thanks.
Love your site - thanks so much - wil try too contribute.
This is the excellent website for us thanxxxxxxxx
Thanx for this website when we saw this website we little shocked and thanx for print command
is there any way I can use shortcuts from the startup bios menu without my enter key. I am stuck on a resume window and cant get out of it.
Not sure what problem is, but if that is the Windows Resume you are stuck, it probably is an issue with the Windows Keyboard / Mouse Driver which can't be loaded and keyboard does not work at all. If that is an older PC, try a PS/2 keyboard. Or I think you can press F8 upon loading and try to get to windows restore.
Thanks for your excellent work
Very informative website for learning point of view.
Infact good one but Cut and copy shortcut keys are same:) how is it possible....
i like use shortcut key i n spite of touch...it is very useful
I just cannot make the "snapshot" shortcut to work - and sure enough it used to !Any suggestions ?
Good one.. Is it possible to have some mainframe shortcuts also..
thanks a lot but one question how to create in short cut keys.pls explain
Good work and very professional very grateful. Thanks.
Super! Very good job!
really very useful and helpful ......thnx so much
Try doing crtl + Scroll Down (on mouse) , and CTrl+Scroll Up (on mouse)
try Ctrl+ , this works to make screen bigger
Had to copy what fedl wrote because it was written the way I was thinking: wow, just stumbled upon this site from a Google search. I must say I was impressed by it's simplicity and efficiency. I found more shortcuts than I will ever need. I could not find in Windows XP, in Word the shortcut key Ctrl y, if its there I am sorry but if it isn't its a very useful combination. If you made a change in your text and you want to repeat that change all you do is hit that key and bingo.
Ctrl-Y is good for repeatedly changing formats, i.e. bold, fonts, etc. - very handy!in Vim the repeat key is . (dot) I use it all the time
Thank you so much! This is just what I was looking for. It will safe me lots of time at work..... now time to learn them ;)
its really very helpful............Thanks..
Good job I respect you and your job.Thank you...................!
I am going to tell everyone I know about this website! What a great concept AND design!Any windows user that doesn't know win + d (and thats a lot of them) are truly missing out!!Now that I know this excellent web site is available, I'm going to become a "shortcutworld.com ambassador".Who knows, I might even contribute!!
I have only been on your website for less than an hour, and I LOVE IT! And what a Nice! job you have done!!I am suprised I don't see more traffic!Once again, great job! Sooooo clean and freshyour website design exemplifies the very essence of your contentand you did it mostly just by yourself!?! WOW!
Thanks, Catmat for the kind words!!!
I would like to suggest a category, and that is 'language' to aid with ALT- accents and characters. So I found out how to SET another lang'-keyboard and toggle to it on the chromebook. But I am unable to use Spanish keyboard for accents. If someone expert in it could comment ?
Excellent idea! I welcome the effort! The kind of website I wish I'd found earlier. Awesome awesome idea, I'm impressed! This URL is going around my friends, family, colleagues etc... right now!! :)
This website is amazing. Congratulations on pulling this together. It is very helpful.
thank u so much...
Nice MS Office shortcuts
Thank u so much
Just wondering what shortcuts their are for HOME,END ect? I don't have these keys on my keyboard.
if you have a laptop, check the alternate keys; it is typically fn+page up or similar for home
This homepage is so great, thanks a lot
I would like to see an ALT+ list of codes. It's easy for me to remember ALT+1 for a ☺ and ALT+3 for a ♥, which I use in Facebook and a few other places all the time, but I never remember the many others that people use to build pictures from and more.
Brillent work with Simplicity
it is a really a very helpful site for anyone who don't know the shortcutkeys of m.s.office....all shortcutkeys are given in very simple and understandable format...it can increase efficiency of employees who is working on m.s. office
Is there a short cut key to turn off the computer when the keyboard freezes?
A piece of brilliance! This is an absolutely wonderful site and project. It saves hours of frustration and energy - either working with the mouse or looking for the elusive keyboard shortcut on the so-called "help" facilities. Superb!
Hi Hakapes, Thanks so much for your feedback!! I will make changes probably around next weekend. Sorry you lost your work. Can you send me an email what exactly happened, so that I can fix?Love the idea of sending new users email with instructions. Actually, the easiest is to edit in Excel or any other spreadsheet and simply copy&paste into the editor. Any time you save, it is directly published. I am working on a 'draft', that you can save it locally first. If you want to keep a copy, you can click on 'xml' and copy the raw text out. Let me know how it goes.
Hi, fantastic site and project.I use a lot shortcuts, and added some already. The idea to make it a wiki, and share this info, and invite for feedback is excellent.Instead of writing a very long list of positives, I just give some suggestions, that popped up during the short time I used the site. Some suggestions:* PDF print: same nice round rectangle around the keys (similar to web page) would be much easier to read.* Categorizing: some shortcuts are useful, some are exotic. I suggest to add a "Most used" category on the top, with only a few shortcuts.* User profile: which data can be seen outside? I want my e-mail address hidden. Is it possible to change my user name?* Favourites: the yellow/gray icon could function the opposite way (like in Firefox - if yellow=added to favourites, gray=not added to favourites)* I would like an option to highlight interesting shortcuts with a yellow background. See here: http://onlinehelp.mindjet.com/help/MindManager/2012/ENU/keyboard_shortcuts.htm* Design: this light grean is difficult for my eyes. Can you experiment with some easier to read and more modern graphical design? See the MPC homepage, it's simple, modern, and nice. http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/Keep up the good work!Oliver
Shortcuts are well classified and well formatted.More shortcuts are given that i never seen before. Thanks
I think this is a great idea, and I'd be happy to contribute during my (not so frequent) free time. One small concern: I'm having a bit of difficulty re-ordering shortcuts. Some items I can easily grab and drag, others just refuse to move. Thanks and cheers.
I hear you on the 'free time'. I have been buried in my day-time job for months now.
Two remedies for re-arranging: Option 1: When I upload, I compile the shortcuts in Excel first and simply copy&paste the two columns directly in the Editor, category by category. Option 2: You can use the 'XML' button on the top right corner. That switches the editing mode to text-based editing. Here you can move it very easy or even edit it in your own editor and copy back into. Let me know what you think.
I am aware that the drag&drop is a little shaky. I am using a JQuery plugin for that and gotta see if there is an update somewhere.
Shortcuts shortcuts shortcuts - LOVE 'EM. Great site, easy to nav, and well-formatted. Thanks for the 2010 Excel SCs. Look forward to more.
Great work ....................Best of luckMore expecting
What a great idea. I HATE THE MOUSE. Love shortcuts. Will you be posting tips for creating our own shortcuts? E.g. I came here to see if there was a way to zoom in and out in Word 2010, using keyboard shortucts (apparently not). I bet I can figure out a way but it would be great to be able to just cut and paste some macro code....
Your site prints out VERY LIGHTLY on my computer printer. The heading was legible, but the rest wasn't . I'll have to go to a Staples or Office Max to copy these 30 pages and make them DARKER!
maybe try the PDF option?
am very happy to add this site and am have very usefull this website
I want to second what kazeno said above - search by key combination would be a great feature to have!
Thanks so much for this useful site
I LOVE KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS. I really like the way you have them categorized on each page. That really helps. I know it took a lot of time planning the pages out, and I appreciate how you've used typewriter keys to help us remember what alphabetical key to use.SUGGESTIONS: Instead of 'f4', why not 'F4', like the keyboard. Same goes with the other keys: Ctrl, Alt, Esc, etc. The only other suggestion would be to have instructions at the top of each page for those persons that don't know what 'shortcuts' are, and that they must press and hold keys down (in the order given) until all keys are down.
@BobbieSue! Thanks so much for the feedback! I agree on putting the first letter capitalized as they are on the keyboard. I found some manual pages in in all upper-case, some other in all lower-case. I opted for all lower case; but thinking about it, it would be much better to have them as they are on the keyboard. I'll put it on my todo list; thanks!
wow, just stumbled upon this site from a Google search. I must say I was impressed by it's simplicity and efficiency. I found more shortcuts than I will ever need. Also, your printing and .pdf files are prettily formated. Thanks, and keep up the good work.
Hi Kazeno, rnrnThat is a neat idea! I can see that as a feature. I had similar thoughts going in the same direction. rnrnSome Shortcuts are obvious (ctrl-s for save) some others are not. I put it on my list. Right now I am consumed on working on the feature to allow an easier editing and uploading of shortcuts, then I am open for anything. I hope I can get on this within 2 months or so.. will keep you posted.rnrnBernd
